New Kids on the Block announce 'THE RIGHT STUFF REMIXED Las Vegas Residency'

New Kids On The Block, 'The Right Stuff Remixed' Las Vegas Residency (Live Nation)

New Kids on the Block are mixing things up for the final 16 performances of their residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas.

Titled THE RIGHT STUFF REMIXED Las Vegas Residency, it's described as a "reimagined and elevated version" of the show they've been doing, with new songs, new outfits, surprise moments and what's described as "enhanced fan experiences."

In an Instagram video, group member Donnie Wahlberg notes that these final 16 performances are fans' last chance to see the group until 2028, because they won't be touring in 2027. He also reveals that each night the audience will get to choose a song, and he teases a piano arrangement of one of their hits.

Fans can get tickets for as low as $30 through Live Nation's Summer of Live promotion, which starts April 29 at LiveNation.com. Visit NKOTB.com for more info.

The final 16 shows run from June 19 through July 4, and Oct. 2 through Oct. 17.

R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe would choose Billie Eilish to play him in a biopic

Billie Eilish and R.E.M. singer Michael Stipe don't seem to have a lot in common physically: She's in her 20s, while he's in his 60s. He has a huge beard, and she doesn't have any facial hair. She's a woman, and he's a man. But still, she is Michael's #1 choice for who should portray him if the "Losing My Religion" band ever gets their own biopic.

Michael made the pronouncement Thursday night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, after Stephen asked him who should play him in said biopic. After first replying, "Someone really hot," Michael thought about it for a bit before suggesting, "Maybe Billie Eilish could do it."

"She held a door open for me once at a restaurant in Manhattan," he said of Billie. "I don't know if she knew who I was. She's incredibly polite and sweet, but I didn't know who she was until she was down the street." Colbert then offered to introduce Michael to Billie and her brother and collaborator, FINNEAS.

In other Billie news, she's just released the music fans heard at her concerts before she started her shows on her most recent tour. Called "INTRO (HIT ME HARD AND SOFT TOUR)," the two-minute electronic-sounding piece includes snippets of "The Greatest," one of the songs on her HIT ME HARD AND SOFT album.

The release comes ahead of the premiere of BILLIE EILISH - HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D), the concert film she made with James Cameron that's coming out May 8. Variety reports the movie will premiere at LA's historic Village Theater on May 6.

'We wanna dance with all our friends': Harry Styles flying fans in for residency shows

Harry Styles' Together, Together Tour (Live Nation)

Harry Styles' upcoming Together, Together tour is playing multiple nights in select cities, but he understands that not everyone can travel to those cities to see him. That's why he's giving fans the chance to win trips there.

"Together, Together has always been about more than just the music," says a note on Harry's website. "It's about the feeling in the room when the lights go down, reaching for someone's hand during your favorite song, thousands of voices coming together as one. That's why we're partnering with American Express for a campaign called We Belong Together, Together."

Fans can register to be flown to each city on the tour from select locations, along with someone who "you'd want next to you in the crowd." In fact, you'll have to explain on your entry form why this particular person "embodies Together, Together." You also have to be 18, and there's one entry allowed per person.

Entries are now open for Amsterdam. Harry's shows there begin on May 16.

New video for Michael Jackson’s ‘Human Nature’ released alongside 'Michael' movie opening

'Michael: Songs From the Motion Picture' (Sony Music)

The soundtrack to the new Michael Jackson biopic, Michael, is out now, and to coincide with the opening, a new video for Jackson’s iconic track “Human Nature” has just been released.

The video features footage of people dancing to the song in various locations, cut with clips of Jackson performing the tune.

“Human Nature,” from Jackson’s sixth solo album, Thriller, was a top-10 hit for the King of Pop, peaking at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was one of seven top-10 hits on the album, two of which, “Billie Jean” and “Beat it,” went to #1.

Michael: Songs From the Motion Picture features 13 iconic tracks featured in the film. The album includes tunes from all eras of Michael's career, including The Jackson 5, The Jacksons and Michael’s solo career.

Michael, directed by Antoine Fuqua, stars Michael Jackson’s nephew Jaafar Jackson in the title role, along with Colman Domingo, Nia Long and Miles Teller. It is in theaters now.

Madonna partners with Grindr app to promote 'Confessions II'

For her new album Confessions II, Madonna is doing something special for her most loyal fans: the queer community.

Ahead of the July 3 release of the album, Madonna is partnering with the Grindr LGBTQ+ social networking app, which describes itself as the "Global Gayborhood in Your Pocket," for exclusive content, in-app experiences and a limited-edition picture disc version of the album. The in-app takeover will include additional limited drops and behind-the-scenes access to the Queen of Pop's world.

"Grindr drives connections, shapes culture, and builds community – and no one embodies that spirit quite like Madonna," says Grindr CEO George Arison in a statement. "She has been empowering our community to Express Yourself for decades, so this feels less like a partnership and more like a homecoming."

Madonna isn't the first female pop icon to partner with the app, either: Last year, Christina Aguilera arranged for her hit "Come on Over Baby (All I Want Is You)" to replace the app's notification sound for a limited time.

More like Cyn City: Cyndi Lauper starts Las Vegas residency

Cyndi Lauper, Live In Las Vegas residency (Courtesy Live Nation)

Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Want to Have Fun Farewell Tour ended in August 2025, but on Friday she'll be back onstage — in Las Vegas.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is kicking off her first Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. So far, it consists of five dates: April 24, 25 and 29, and May 1 and 2.

Cyndi initially described the show as "an opportunity for fans who missed my Farewell Tour to celebrate one last time." However, at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in November, she told KABC-TV that she's hoping to do some things that she wasn't able to do when she was appearing in a different city every night.

"It's an opportunity, because in Vegas they have all this new technology, and you can do art and music together," she explained. "And I have this wonderful creative director that I've been working with, and we're kind of like scientists sometimes, and I'm so excited about that."

In addition to Vegas, Cyndi has one other performance on her schedule. She's performing at the Rock In Rio - Lisbon festival in Portugal June 27, where she'll share a bill with her former tour mate Rod Stewart, as well as Guns N' Roses, 4 Non Blondes and more.

Find out which Taylor Swift song convinced Anne Hathaway that the singer is a 'genius'

Anne Hathaway in A24's 'Mother Mary' (Credit: Frederic Batier)

The pop star character that Anne Hathaway plays in her new movie Mother Mary is sort of a combination of Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift. And Anne says that while prepping for the role, she realized that Taylor is a "genius."

Speaking to The New York Times, Anne said that Mother Mary director David Lowery is a "die-hard Swiftie" and gave her a "crazy long" playlist of songs to demonstrate to her the "feeling that [Mother Mary]'s music could give you." Anne says one Taylor song on the playlist stood out to her.

"Right dab in the middle of that playlist was 'Anti-Hero,'” says Anne, referring to Taylor's 2022 #1 hit. "I always really, really liked Taylor, but that was the song where I was like, 'Oh no, wait, she’s taking hold of my brain.'"

"And then I got much deeper into her music," Anne continues. "And then once you see it, you can’t unsee it. You’re just like, 'Oh, she’s a genius.'"

Since then, the two have come to know each other; Anne recently said in another interview that when she went to The Eras Tour, Taylor arranged for a handwritten note to be delivered to her seat.

Despite Anne's admiration for Taylor, though, she couldn't ever see herself as a pop star.

"What I love to do is share what I’ve gone through, the secret parts of my soul, through a filter, through an avatar that I can privately, secretly relate to," she explains.

"But I don’t have to ever talk about that and I don’t ever have to reveal that. With a pop star, the image that you’re putting out is based on yourself. And so you are your own avatar."

As new 'Power Ballad' trailer drops, director says he was told it was 'a bad idea' to cast Nick Jonas

Nick Jonas as Danny and Paul Rudd as Rick in 'Power Ballad.' (David Cleary)

We've got a new trailer for Power Ballad, Nick Jonas' upcoming film with Paul Rudd. Nick plays Danny, a former boy band member turned solo artist. While it sounds like perfect casting, director John Carney says the idea of having Nick star in the movie was a hard sell.

In the film, Paul plays Rick, a musician who works as a singer in a wedding band in Ireland. Rick meets Danny, who steals his song and uses it to establish his solo career. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, John says he really needed an actual musician to play Danny, because he'd chosen a non-musician to play Rick.

"Paul playing a singer in Ireland is already a slight push, but it’s one that the audience will allow," John says. "I can’t ask them to do it twice.”

John felt that Nick would bring "a certain kind of mysterious, enigmatic reality and truth to the character that we really needed." But as he tells The Hollywood Reporter, he was told it was "a bad idea."

"A lot of people in Ireland did think that there’s something a little bit novelty about the Jonas Brothers. European audiences are a little bit more precious," John says.

Others warned him that putting Nick in the movie would overshadow the project, but once the movie began shooting, John says, Nick proved that he was the right choice.

"Nick played this character really small. ... You realize that’s what those guys — those superstars, since they’ve been seven years old — have. It’s quiet,” John notes. “He wants to go and play golf and have a nice whiskey and talk about the part and go to bed early and call his daughter and his wife. That’s what being a massive boy band star is like, really.”

Madonna and Geena Davis have 'A League of Their Own' reunion

It's not clear if it was planned that way, but two of Sabrina Carpenter's special guests at her April 18 Coachella performance just happened to be former colleagues who were able to catch up at the event.

Madonna performed onstage with Sabrina, while Geena Davis appeared in a prerecorded piece, delivering a monologue as an older version of Sabrina. But more than three decades previously, Madonna and Geena co-starred in the 1992 movie A League of Their Own, a fictionalized account of the real-life all-female professional baseball team that existed during World War II.

Now Geena has posted a photo of herself posing backstage with Madonna at Coachella. "Mae - so happy to see you again! Love, Dottie," she captioned the photo. Madonna played "All the Way" Mae Mordabito in the movie, while Geena played Dorothy "Dottie" Hinson.

One fan wrote in the comments, quoting the film's most famous line, "I know there’s no crying in baseball but I’m literally crying."

A League of Their Own, directed by Penny Marshall and also starring Tom Hanks, Lori Petty and Rosie O'Donnell, was a critical and commercial success. It was preserved in the Library of Congress' National Film Registry in 2012.

During Sabrina's April 10 Coachella appearance, the part of older Sabrina in the prerecorded monologue was played by Susan Sarandon, Geena's co-star in 1991's Thelma & Louise.

Duran Duran releases new song 'Free to Love,' featuring Nile Rodgers

Duran Duran 'Free to Love,' featuring Nile Rodgers (Tape Modern)

Duran Duran has reteamed with Nile Rodgers for a brand new song.

The artists have just released the new song, “Free to Love,” described as an “uplifting, high-energy track built around a euphoric groove.”

"'Free to Love' is disco for the 2020s," says Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon. "It's up-beat and up-tempo; it's about freedom; it's about loving the modern world instead of hating it, and that is something we need right now. Be free! Be free to love!"

"True love is free and unconditional," Rodgers, who co-wrote the song, adds. "My love for Duran Duran, and what our music together has always been about, is the love we share for our song's deepest meanings. Whatever chaos is going on outside, inside the studio we're free to love our peace."

"Free to Love," now available via digital outlets, is accompanied by a music video, directed by Jonas Åkerlund, made in association with Italian luxury perfumer Xerjoff.

Duran Duran has a long history with Rodgers, starting with his 1984 remix of "The Reflex," which became Duran Duran’s first #1 song.

"Every time we plug in and play with Nile, the electricity he generates could light up a whole city," says Duran Duran’s Nick Rhodes. "We share a common belief that music is a force for good and something that brings positive energy into the world." He noted that the song “has a simple message, there is nothing more important than freedom and love. We certainly need a lot more of both in the world right now."

The song's release comes as Duran Duran is getting ready to headline the BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach, California, on May 1. They’ll then head to Las Vegas for four nights at the Fontainebleau, May 2, 6, 8 and 9.

Teddy Swims' love for live music meshes with new partnership: 'I love being arm-to-arm with strangers'

Teddy Swims (Courtesy White Claw)

With two Coachella appearances under his belt, a Stagecoach set and a fall headlining tour, Teddy Swims clearly values live music. That's why he wants to help fans enjoy it, too.

Teddy's partnering with White Claw this summer to promote the idea of live music being an opportunity to make in-real-life connections. Fans will have a chance to win a trip to see Teddy live, and a lifetime supply of free concert tickets for you and a friend.

"Live music ... should be the most celebrated thing in the world, especially in a time where everything's so doctored," Teddy tells ABC Audio. "I love being arm-to-arm with strangers and sharing the same love for something."

"You make such beautiful friends that are coming from the same sort of traumas ... heartbreaks or ... celebrations as one another," he says of concerts. "And it's a chance to see that we're all not that different."

Teddy found himself arm-in-arm with a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer at Coachella: former Van Halen singer David Lee Roth joined him for both appearances, duetting on Van Halen's "Jump." The two met after rehearsing next to each other and started hanging out.

"He has told me the craziest stuff," Teddy says. "He's the coolest guy ever and [gave] such good advice and mentorship on what to do and, as you can imagine, probably what not to do, too."

In addition to live music, Teddy likes a good house party, like the one he attends in the White Claw campaign commercial. It's soundtracked to his hit "The Door," but Teddy says he'd rather be jamming out to his new single, "Mr. Know-It-All," or his song "Some Things I'll Never Know."

"I'd want it to be a little more upbeat, but I'm also a big fan of healing and crying together and loving on each other and having that big pow-wow together," he says.

Music notes: Billie Eilish, HUNTR/X and more

In honor of Earth Day Wednesday, Billie Eilish closed down her online store and wrote that she was "encouraging fans and shoppers to donate time or resources to organizations of their choice to help make life on this planet safe, healthy and just." She also listed several of those organizations, including her mom's Support + Feed, which works to deliver plant-based meals and pantry items across the country. Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter named Billie one of the 25 "Greenest Hollywood Celebrities," thanks to her efforts to tour without single-use plastics and with biofuel-powered trucks. She also encourages her fashion collaborators to use animal-free materials.

EJAE from the KPop Demon Hunters' group HUNTR/X is featured in People magazine's new "Most Beautiful" issue. In it, the "Golden" singer says, "I was so obsessed with makeup growing up. I wanted to hide behind makeup because I wanted to look a certain way. Korea is all about trends." She adds, "Now I'm more accepting of my bare face. I feel the most beautiful after I take a shower, and I put skin care on."

In case you missed RAYE on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, you can watch her two performances on YouTube. She performed "Click Clack Symphony." from her album This Music May Contain Hope. As a bonus, she sang another song from the album, "Joy.," and was joined by her sisters Amma and Absolutely, both of whom are opening for her on tour.

Netflix has revealed a few details of its upcoming documentary on Kylie Minogue. The three-part doc, KYLIE, will look at the Australian pop icon's 50-year career via home movie footage, personal photos and new interviews with Kylie. So far, there's no debut date for the project.

Harry Styles NYC concert tickets bought by scalpers to be redistributed to fans, says Ticketmaster

Harry Styles' Together, Together tour (Live Nation)

Ticketmaster has been the subject of some bad press lately, but the good news is that the company is now trying to help Harry Styles fans get tickets for his Together, Together tour, which otherwise would have fallen into scalpers' hands.

In a lengthy letter posted on the company's socials, Ticketmaster Global President Saumil Mehta says, "We caught scalpers using multiple accounts and fake identities to try to get around ticket limits and resell tickets for profit. We've canceled those tickets ... and we are working with the tour to release them back to fans at the original price."

The company recently did something similar with tickets to Ariana Grande's upcoming tour. Mehta notes, "It's all part of our broader effort to identify and catch more bad actors."

Fans can request the tickets from April 30 at 12 p.m. ET through May 1 at 5 p.m. ET via the Harry Styles page on Ticketmaster. Fans who don't already have tickets to the New York City shows will get priority. Once you've submitted your request, you'll get an email, and if your request is fulfilled, you'll receive a second email by midnight on May 8.

Of note, anyone who bought directly on Ticketmaster or anyone who received transferred or resale tickets in their Ticketmaster accounts is not affected. And it only affects the shows in New York City, which run between Aug. 26 and Oct. 31.

Upcoming Stevie Nicks album is 'glorious,' says pal Vanessa Carlton

Vanessa Carlton and Stevie Nicks pose backstage during Carlton's stint starring in the hit musical 'Beautiful: The Carole King Musical' on Broadway, June 27, 2019 in New York City. (Bruce Glikas/WireImage)

Stevie Nicks and "A Thousand Miles" singer Vanessa Carlton are pals; in fact, Stevie officiated her wedding. So maybe it's not surprising to hear that Vanessa has heard the new album that Stevie said she was working on a year ago.

Speaking with People, Vanessa confirmed that she's heard the album, which Stevie first mentioned during the Pollstar Awards in April 2025. She told the audience during the event, "I'm actually making a record right now." She added that she'd written seven songs that were "autobiographical, real stories where I’m not pulling any punches for probably the first time in my life.”

While Vanessa said that she'd heard it, she added, "I cannot say a word more. The world should get ready. That's all I'll say. Stevie's coming. Let's put it that way."

She added, "It's Stevie, so it's glorious."

When Stevie does release a new album, it will be her first solo release since 2011's In Your Dreams. She did release the single "The Lighthouse" in September 2024. Wednesday night, she performs in Austin, Texas.

As for why the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is so beloved, Vanessa told People, "She doesn't try to teach anybody. She's not trying to tell anybody what to do. She will let you be yourself. I know we're so in this divided place. But at her shows, everybody comes together for her."

"I think that's why everybody loves Stevie. Everybody wants to know what she has to say — and she's not trying to get people to love her. It's just really respectful of everybody."

Rachel Platten's 'Fight Song' certified Diamond: 'A moment I will cherish forever'

Rachel Platten celebrates RIAA Diamond certification of 'Fight Song' ( Nicholas Whitmill )

Rachel Platten's "Fight Song" has been RIAA-certified Diamond for selling more than 10 million copies in the U.S., and that puts her in very rare company.

First, Rachel is just the 25th female solo artist to have a Diamond single, joining the ranks of Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé. Next, "Fight Song" is only the third track in history to reach Diamond status after initially being released independently, not on a major label.

On Instagram, Rachel called the honor a "moment I will cherish forever," and said those milestones "blow my mind and I’m so proud."

"'Fight Song' was born from a tiny spark of hope in a moment when I needed to believe in myself again. I never could have imagined it would grow into this," she continued. "But this award doesn’t just belong to me. It belongs to every person who played this song when they needed strength. Every heart that was healing. Every dreamer who kept going when it would’ve been easier to quit. Every fighter who sang these words through tears, through fear, through doubt."

"You gave this song its meaning. You made it an anthem. This Diamond is for all of us," she concluded.

Rachel wrote "Fight Song" in 2011 when she wasn't sure if she should continue her music career. But after she inherited $10,000 from her late grandfather, she used it to record the song independently and self-release it online. Eventually, radio started playing it in 2015 and a global anthem was born.
